Kathleen Giancana has a broad range of federal income tax expertise. Her emphasis in the firm’s new markets, historic and renewable energy tax credit practice is in structuring transactions in a manner that complies with the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code and other applicable tax law.
Prior to focusing her practice on tax credit transactions, Ms. Giancana represented businesses and individuals on a variety of complex federal, state, local and foreign tax matters, including the structuring and operation of partnerships, limited liability companies and other joint ventures and corporate taxation. Ms. Giancana has represented taxpayers in audits by the Internal Revenue Service and in cases before the United States Tax Court.
